During the Friends of the Earth Climate Connections speaking tour, members of Friends of the Earth Indonesia (WALHI) will travel to Australia to raise awareness about the push to expand export coal mining in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Come and hear about the issues, how you can support the campaign, and create connections with communities struggling against the global coal rush.

Australian coal miners are major investors in the rapidly expanding coal industry in Kalimantan. In the Upper Barito Basin, BHP Billiton and Cokal are fast tracking plans to clear rich tropical rainforests for open cut coal mines. These plans threaten some of the most important rainforests in the world.
