Climate change is not caused by humans

by CamWalker last modified 2007-07-20 00:35

It's not too late to stop runaway climate change

The vast majority of climate change scientists firmly believe that human activity has produced climate change. Believing that climate change is not caused by humans is like believing that smoking is not a cause of lung cancer.

The planet has warmed by approximately 0.8 degrees over the past 120 years. Australia’s average mean temperature has increased by 0.9 degrees since 1910. Globally, temperatures are currently rising at between 0.2 — 0.25 degrees every decade.

Carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere have increased by approximately 50% in the last 150 years. Much of this increase has occurred in the past few decades.

The last time concentrations were this high was approximately 650,000 years ago. These massive increases over such a short period of time can only be caused by human activity.
