- An international delegation of Indigenous peoples has gathered in front of the offices of the NY State Controller's office to deliver a formal complaint to the office's investigation Division. The delegation, which includes representatives from Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the United States, claims that Barrick Gold, in which the New York State Pension Fund holds almost $100 million in shares, is responsible for human rights abuses and the environmental devastation of their land.
