Since 1975, FoE has run a number of community-managed businesses as part of our vision of a better world. Our current community-based not-for-profit businesses are:
Reverse Garbage
Reverse Garbage Brisbane is a not-for-profit worker run co-operative that promotes environmental sustainability and resource reuse. We collect high quality industrial discards, diverting them away from landfill and sell them at a low cost to the general public. Based in Wooloongabba.
FoE bookstore
The FoE Book Shop (Melbourne) has an emphasis on sustainably produced and Fair Trade products.
FoE food co-op, Collingwood
The FoE Food co-op and organic cafe is based in Smith Street, Collingwood which was established by FoE Melbourne. It is one of the longest running food co-ops in Australia.
The Pantry
The Pantry is a food co-op based at the South Melbourne Commons. It was opened in December 2011.
