Talking Food and Climate Change: Discussion Night
Monday, June 30th, 6.30 - 8pm
Venue: Level 2, TLC Building, 16 Peel Street, South Brisbane

Cost: Free

In this discussion evening, Daisy Barham and Gemma Schuch from Friends of the Earth will take a look at:

- how our food choices are fuelling climate change due to food miles, meat consumption and industrial food production;
- how the expansion of the agrofuel ("bio"fuel) industry – touted by governments and corporations as a "solution" to climate change is contributing to the increase in world food prices while also in many cases actually accelerating climate change;
- some positive examples of how we can create sustainable food systems  which won't destroy the climate

This will be followed by group discussion of these issues.
