Get Involved
Looking to get involved by volunteering? Or our online action section....Please see the sections below.
Volunteering with FoE
FoE is essentially a volunter organisation, with a huge number of opportunities for getting involved.
As a starting point, we suggest you contact your local group (or, depending on your interests, a relevant national campaign co-ordinator); see links below. See what you can work out with them - all groups are open to new members. The opportunities vary a bit depending on the size of the group.
FoE Brisbane and Melbourne have volunteer co-ordinators. Copies of our volunteer policies are available from them; please see the local groups listings for details.
We always have new volunteer activist positions available, supporting many organisation areas and skill base requirements. Please see our 'volunteer positions' section or please feel comfortable to give us a call or email.
Online Actions
As part of the global network that makes up Friends of the Earth International, we are always presenting new opportunities for you to engage with simple online activities. Simple actions can make all the difference. When we, together, form as one... our individual voice has impact. Follow the links below to find simple options to get involved. You can easily participate; either in letter writing or email based campaigning. You too can become an activist!
Please take the time to show you care.
Newsletters and magazines
Members of local FoE groups should receive the FoEA national magazine, Chain Reaction. There are also a range of local group and national campaign email newsletters that you can sign up to. For details, check here. Copies of our monthly email newsletter can be found here.
Employment Opportunities
Where paid positions do become available, they will be advertised here and in our monthly email newsletter (see front page to sign up).
Other Opportunities
We run a number of community businesses in both Brisbane and Melbourne. Please see the link below for further details.
