Translators and Interpreters wanted!

by DerecDavies last modified 2007-09-06 09:35

Friends of the Earth Australia are looking for volunteer translators and interpreters who speak any of the following languages: French, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Korean and Japanese. Translators and Interpreters Wanted!

[June 2007]

Friends of the Earth Melbourne is looking for volunteer translators and interpreters as we would love to be able to distribute outreach  materials in languages other than English as well as providing  interpretation at FoE events. We are also keen to be able to work more closely with Friends of the Earth groups internationally.

Volunteer translators and interpreters are always able to work at the level at which they feel comfortable, and are under no obligation to take on any particular project. Volunteers could find themselves translating letters, reports or other documents; or interpreting via phone or face-to-face. Volunteer translators will be appropriately acknowledged for their work.

If you are interested in being a volunteer translator or interpreter, please let us know what language/s you can translate or interpret, the level your language skills are at, and whether you are capable of translating or interpreting into or from English.

Please contact our Melbourne group volunteer coordinator Arius for more information and to register your interest: arius.tolstoshev [at] foe.org.au or (03) 9419 8700.
