CANC is a community campaign which aims to raise awareness about, and build opposition to, the nuclear industry in Australia. It will be converging on Canberra with the message that we don't want a nuclear future! We're cycling from Rockhampton to Canberra and from Port Augusta to Canberra from July to September to make Australia nuclear free.

Its aims are focussed on:

  • Raising awareness about what the nuclear cycle means
  • Rallying opposition to the production of nuclear power in Australia
  • Promote truly renewable power generation
  • Advocating for local power generation and engage local communities in becoming involved in their power generation.
  • Meeting with local aboriginal communities and environmental groups and listen to their experiences and thought of life with the nuclear cycle.
