Himalayas to advocating and writing about local alternatives to the
globalised food economy, Helena will outline the shift required to save
our beloved earth from the dangers of corporate agribusiness.
Contextualising the importance of food re-localisation and sustainable
farming, Helena will move beyond a critique of consumerism to explain
how recovering culture and improving well-being can enrich our lives
and communities.

Helena Norberg-Hodge is the founder and director of the International Society for Ecology and Culture, co-founder of the International Forum on Globalization and director of the Ladakh Ecological Development Group. She is the received the Right Livelihood Award and author of 'Bringing the Food Economy Home: Local Alternatives to Global Agribusiness'.
