Since 1975, FoE has run a number of community-managed businesses as part of our vision of a better world. Our current community-based not-for-profit businesses are:

FoE food co-op, Collingwood

The FoE Food co-op and organic cafe is based in Smith Street, Collingwood which was established by FoE Melbourne. It is one of the longest running food co-ops in Australia.

The food co-op is an ethical trader that has been going in Melbourne for more than 30 years. It provides affordable, low packaged (bulk) food, fruit and vegetables, health and eco-cleaning products. Our particular emphasis is to provide natural, organic produce that is grown and prepared locally - preferably by small companies and producers.

Our wonderful lunch time cafe features locally grown or fair trade teas complimented by cakes, muffins and a delicious organic meal of the day. Our nourishing hot lunch is served from midday until late afternoon.

Please remember to bring your own jars and bags for items, most of our products are in bulk. You can purchase jars, etc from the co-op if need be.

By purchasing goods through our store you are not only helping yourself but also Friends of the Earth and the environment. The dynamic volunteer roster makes the co-op a fun community centre where skills and knowledge are constantly exchanged.

10am - 6pm Monday to Friday

10am - 5pm Saturday

11am - 4pm Sunday

Reverse Garbage Brisbane is a not-for-profit worker run co-operative that promotes environmental sustainability and resource reuse. We collect high quality industrial discards, diverting them away from landfill and sell them at a low cost to the general public. Based in Wooloongabba.
