Climate change poses an extreme threat to natural environments and people around the world. The world needs a rapid transition away from fossil fuels to prevent dangerous climate change. However this is just half the story of climate justice. The other half is about creating a just future and centering stories of communities and Indigenous peoples.

Sapna is a collective for climate justice in the South Asian diaspora in Australia. We live and work on unceded lands of Australia’s First Nations peoples and pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.

Sapna signifies a dream in many South Asian languages. It stands for our vision for climate solutions grounded in justice and the hope of a global climate movement that tells stories of South Asian communities.
