Hobart Snap Rally - Stand up for climate action at COAG

SNAP_RALLY__HOBART.jpg

After attacking renewable energy for months in the media, the Turnbull government seems intent on taking Australia backwards on climate change action.

Their latest thought bubble the 'National Energy Guarantee' or NEG appears designed to cripple renewable energy and lock in subsidies for polluting coal and gas companies - something the community can and will never accept.

If you live in Hobart, please join us this friday 24 November to show your support for renewable energy and the need for a rapid transition away from fossil fuels.

The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Energy Council will gather in Hobart, Tasmania this Friday the 24th of November to discuss the policy. It's important they know where the community stands.

With alarming melting of the polar icecaps, unprecedented bleaching of the Great Barrier Reef, and a hot summer looming, now is not the time to delay action on climate change.

Join Friends of the Earth, AYCC and Climate Action Hobart this Friday the 24th of November for a snap rally outside COAG to stand up for climate ambition, and call on energy ministers to set out a vision for 100% Renewables.

Friday 24 November, 8am - 9.30. Hobart Function & Conference Centre.
